What are Drip Marketing Campaigns?

Drip marketing is one of best methods email marketers convert an email list into profits. Here is how it works. When you sign up for a list they send you a thank you message which might have some small offer. Subsequently you receive a daily or weekly email that educates you and entices you to eventually purchase the offer.

How to Set Up a Drip Marketing Campaign
Once you read the word profits you probably wondered how you could create your own drip marketing campaign.

1) First you need a product it could be anything ebook, reseller product (see clickbank), or tangible product, but without a product there is nothing to sell.

2) You need a squeeze page. Squeeze pages are one page web sites where you convince someone to sign up for your newsletter. You can also use your own newsletter. Getting people to squeeze page could be done via Twitter, FaceBook, SEO, but the goal is to get the people onto your mailing list.

3) You need the ability to manage the mailing list I recommend Mail Chimp (mailchimp.com), which will allow you to create a mailing list up to 2000 subscribers for free. Or even better try the Contact Management Software from Carmel Vision. It is probably the best and allows for unlimited contact management and helps manage the drip marketing campaigns.

4) Here is the cool part…you need the create 10-20 emails. These emails should be short using 1-2 paragraphs where you give a couple tips and a link to a product page which you are pitching. The reason this is the cool part is that you can automate and recycle your campaign. The messages go out on the schedule you create and each sign up gets the all of the messages over time. Every time a new subscriber joins they can get the messages too. So once this whole thing is set up there is really not much work involved. The main focus becomes just getting more people to sign up to the mailing list.

How to entice subscribers to your drip market campaigns
1) Free ebook
2) A couple chapters from a book and the full book becomes the product
3) Videos
4) Education tips
5) Coupons
6) Gather subscribers from your current connections on social media
