SEO stands for search engine optimization. SEO is all about achieving top rankings in the search engine search results (also known as SERPS or organic results). The best SEOs (search engine optimizers) rely on their understanding of the search engine algorithms (weights the search engines use to determine rankings) to best modify a site's content to achieve top ranking. Often people refer to themselves as SEO gurus or specialists, but be careful. The problem is that the majority of them are web designers or people who read a few articles online. I claim the title partly as personal joke but as rightly so because of my many years of experience and having helped over a thousand businesses online. To become a SEO expert, I started back in 1998 marketing websites online and it is been my full time work ever since. I saw the development of the web from early stages the days before Google. Unlike what many SEO/SEM specialists will tell you there is no magic to what I do. The search engines look at two major factors when determining web rankings. These factors are: 1) content of site 2) links (see SEO link building). My Toronto SEO company's goal for all of the clients is to help them first sort out the content of their web sites (organic search engine optimization), then help them with their link building campaigns. Of course web marketing has grown beyond just targeting the major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN to social marketing which involves targeting sites like Youtube, Pinterest, Twitter, Flickr, Facebook, Myspace, Digg, and social bookmarking sites. My strategy has always been to find as many sources of traffic as possible for my clients' web sites. One source is also Google Adwords and PPC campaigns. Personally I do not strongly believe in Adwords or PPC because the cost of these kinds of campaigns can be very expensive for the amount of traffic they generate. However, some clients want a to tap all sources of traffic, here is where I have helped my clients to save lots of money and have helped them create successful pay per click campaigns. Though my business is a Toronto SEO company, I work with online sites from around the world.
Currently, I outsource my SEO consultant skills to 30 web design companies in Toronto and some in the US. Also I have my own web development business Global Net Trade.
